Come gather with us.

Reading in the Wild.

Reading in the Wild is a free, monthly gathering for readers and daydreamers of all kinds. These are inclusive, anti-snob, anti-productivity spaces. There’s no agenda and no pressure, just time to settle in with a book of your choice and enjoy the quiet company of others. Whether you bring your current read or pick something from our shared book blanket, you’re warmly welcome.

In the warmer months, we meet in local parks around Ottawa; in winter, we’ll move to cozy, welcoming indoor spaces. Come as you are, bring a chair or blanket (in summer), something to sip if you’d like, and join us in reclaiming reading as rest.

Next Gathering:

September 14, 2025 - 2:00pm - 4:00pm - Brantwood Park, Onslow Cres, Ottawa

Literary Retreats.

Our retreats are a soft place to land for women who crave rest, connection, and the quiet magic of books. These gatherings are intentionally slow, inclusive, and anti-snob—there’s no reading list to keep up with, no expectation to perform, and absolutely no shame in bringing your romance novel, your audiobook, or your unread stack. Whether you come solo or with a friend, you’ll be met with warmth, carefully tended meals, quiet expansive moments, and a shared love of stories. These are retreats that feel like coming home, where you don’t have to be anyone but yourself.

We can’t wait to read with you, laugh with you, and build something beautiful together.
